ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR--(Marketwire - Oct. 11, 2007) - Husky Energy Inc. (TSX:HSE) confirms the death of a 34-year old man on board the SeaRose FPSO, located at the White Rose oil field 350 kilometres offshore Newfoundland and Labrador.

"I would like to extend my personal condolences, and those of the entire Husky organization to the family."

A grief counsellor and an offshore chaplain have also been sent to the SeaRose FPSO to provide assistance to the crew. The next of kin has been notified.
